3.5.2 Tin Canny LearnDash Reporting | Uncanny Owl
There is a lot of activity happening on the LearnDash site. Users are always completing courses, lessons, quizzes, assignments, etc. the LearnDash reporting is basic and only tracks local LearnDash activity. If you use H5P, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or iSpring modules, you either don’t track the data at all, or the data is stored externally in Learning Records Storage (LRS) on another site and your reports are completely isolated.
If you can’t track your learning effectively, you won’t know what your students are doing or if they are learning on your site. What if there was a better way to track all of your training data from a single location within your WordPress site, even things that LearnDash typically can’t track?
Reporting on learning activities just got a lot easier.
Tin Canny Reporting for LearnDash is an all-in-one plugin that adds drill-down reporting capabilities, a comprehensive uploader for Articulate Storyline, Rise, iSpring, and Captivate modules, and adds to your LearnDash site! A basic Learning Record Store (LRS). It allows site administrators and group leaders to drill down on trends in learning activity from across the site and for each specific user.
Everything is automated.
Once installed, Tin Canny adds a simple module uploader to the WordPress editor, and when you upload your module, the plugin starts capturing your SCORM and Tin Can data. Plus, if you use H5P to create content in WordPress, everything is captured automatically – no additional plugins or configuration required. That’s the power of doing everything in your LearnDash site.
You can even control the progress of your LearnDash course from the modules you upload. Maybe learners shouldn’t be allowed to move on to the next lesson until they pass the Storyline quiz? No problem, you can control the behavior of the LearnDash course. You can use Tin Can and SCORM statements to control the behavior of LearnDash markup completion buttons.
Don’t use SCORM or Tin Can?Use the powerful LearnDash reports!
Tin Canny has added comprehensive LearnDash reporting functionality to your LearnDash site. As soon as you log in as an administrator, you’ll see a new dashboard widget that shows trends in your learning activities. From there, view the course report to see how learners are doing in all your courses. (If you install our handy Pro Toolkit, you can even see how long it takes users to complete a course.) From there, drill down into a course to see how your learners are doing, and continue to drill down if you’d like to see more data on course and quiz levels.
These reports are also available to LearnDash Group Leaders. Group leaders have access to the same reports for users in the groups they support. Even better, Tin Canny allows course and user reports to be displayed on the front of your WordPress site, making it even easier for your group leaders to be in a familiar environment!
