This set opens up a lot of different possibilities for your learning management system, especially if you want to create a custom enrollment feature, whether it’s free or paid courses.
What are Gravity Forms?
Gravity Forms has been a leader in custom form creation for WordPress websites for years, and they are often the “go-to” form plugin for many developers.
However, the best thing about Gravity Forms is that you don’t have to be a developer to use it on your site. The interface is intuitive, and their support is helpful. If you need custom forms (contact forms, order forms, etc.), then you can’t go wrong with them.
What can the LearnDash-Gravity Forms integration do?
Many of you have requested the ability to create a completely unique registration form for your course, and that’s exactly what this integration allows you to do. Specifically, with this integration, you can
Create a fully customizable registration form.Gravity Forms builder allows you to get any information you want when a user registers for a course.
Automatically register users to the selected course. Integration allows you to map your form to one or more LearnDash courses. Once the form is filled out and submitted, an account is created for the user and they are then enrolled in the course.
Charge for the course or offer it for free. You can set a price and accept payments using any of the payment gateway add-ons provided by Gravity Forms.
Bonus Update: New LearnDash Price Type
Along with this integration, we’ve also added a new price type for LearnDash courses called “Closed” in the latest version of LearnDash released today.
Selecting “Closed” for price time will remove the “Take this course” button, meaning the only way users can access the course is if you register them manually, or if you use an integration such as the Gravity Forms integration to sell the course instead.
If you enter a custom button URL (optional), the “Take this Course” button will appear on the course page and take the user to the page of your choice. This is especially useful if you’re using Gravity Forms. Simply insert the URL of the page that contains your custom registration form.
How do I get started?
To get started, you will need to install and activate the following plugins.
