1.2.1 Easy Digital Downloads Git Download Updater
If you’re developing for the web, chances are you’ll be managing your code in git. Once your code is ready to deploy, updating your EDD downloads typically involves downloading a zip, renaming the main folder, deleting unwanted files, and then re-compressing and uploading. This process can be time-consuming, especially if you maintain multiple sites or a large number of downloads.
The Git Download Updater extension can do this automatically for your code on GitHub and BitBucket. You don’t have to manually update the download file; you just select the repo and version tag, and the plugin does the rest. It updates the downloaded file and sets the correct filename.
If you use a software license, this extension can also automatically update the version number and changelog (requiring you to use readme.txt parsing).
This extension will save you time on each release.
